There has been a growing demand for online therapy, which at first might feel a little strange. But being able to sit in the comfort and safety of your own home can prove beneficial for so many people.
Not being the most technologically minded, I have to say I felt uneasy about making this transition, but it’s turned out far easier than I imagined. All you need is a good internet connection and I will help you set up the rest. Providing therapy in this way can help people who have limited time or who are less mobile, perhaps during times of illness or who just don’t want to travel, and there are no worries about parking or finding my therapy room.
Booking a Session
If you would like a hypnotherapy session then we can discuss how it can help you before we book an appointment. Any concerns you may have can be discussed either by telephone or email at this time, but it’s really very straightforward and full details of how it works will be sent to you before the session.
During the Session
Apart from a reliable WiFi connection, the only thing to think about is where you would like to be in your home. A quiet, comfy place is ideal and somewhere you won’t be disturbed, you may need a blanket with you to keep warm. Any noise from other parts of the house will not affect the session. One of the benefits of hypnotherapy is that it helps you to block out external, unimportant stimulus and focuses your attention where it is needed. Any pets are welcome that enjoy relaxing with you, but it is inadvisable for children during the therapy.
If during the hypnosis part of the session the signal is lost it won’t affect the trance, you will quickly be able to reconnect and fall back to the place you left, just like interrupting a movie to make a cup of tea. And there are various other platforms to switch to quickly as back up.
Hypnotherapy via this method has proved to be very successful and no less effective than face to face.
