What is Solution Focus?
Solution Focused Brief therapy helps people overcome emotional problems and difficulties. It involves working towards the future and how that future will look when the problem is no longer there. It is a process of realising strengths and resources you already have but may not be aware of and becoming the strongest version of yourself. It’s about understanding how our thoughts and what we choose to focus on can affect our every day reality, and by lowering our stress levels naturally, other areas of our lives suddenly become more manageable. The sessions allow you to do this without delving into painful past events or unpleasant memories.

What is Hypnosis like?
A form of relaxation involving a focused state of attention where all outside, unimportant stimulus is ignored. You go in and out of hypnosis every day without even being aware of it: whilst driving a car, riding a bike or going for a run. Have you ever been so engrossed in a movie that you couldn’t hear a friend ask if you’d like a cup of tea? It is a very natural state to be in. You are in complete control and completely safe, but most reassuringly, if whilst watching that same movie an alarm went off, you’d immediately be back to full awareness. You are always in control and able to bring about full consciousness at any point.
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness and a proven scientific state. Sometimes we are all too consciously aware of the steps we need to make to solve a problem, but still can’t do what it takes to make it happen. Hypnosis works by bypassing conscious thought and connects with the subconscious mind, which is where all our root behaviours are stored. In this relaxed state we are then able to make positive suggestions in line with your desired outcome.
